Another health benefit you’re going to get from cardio is on the Respiratory System. One thing that is going to happen is that you are going to increase the distribution of oxygen throughout the body. It’s going to distribute a little more efficiently. Another thing that is going to happen in the lungs is that you are going to increase your blood flow and you oxygen uptake. So what that all derives to is that you are going to take less breaths per minute—this is what allows you to get at those faster paces and at those longer distances.
